We are producing a radio play, The Hard Winter, in cooperation with South Dakota Public Broadcasting. If you are familiar with Prairie Home Companion, this is a similar format. The beginning of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant is rooted in a Hallmark Radio play performed in the 1950s, so this is an excellent and fitting opportunity for us.
On July 11, we will be doing a visual performance via Facebook Live at 7pm. This will be a live performance that features the actors, musicians, and special effects.
The following week, SDPB Radio will broadcast an hour long edited version of the show on Friday, July 17 at noon, and Saturday, July 18 at 7pm.
