This is an all-day event that lasts for 31 days

The Swiftel Center’s annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign kicks off the month of October. 100% of all campaign proceeds will be donated to Brookings Health System Foundation to promote cancer screening benefits, such as regular mammograms and local resources that are available for cancer patients.

The 2019 design features rough paint stroke texture with the word art phrase “FIGHT CANCER” with the “I CAN” highlighted in pink. The shirt is the signature soft style in light, heathered gray.

T-shirts will be available for purchase at the Swiftel Center Ticket Office, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Other purchasing locations include the South Dakota State University Wellness Center, Avera Medical Group Brookings, and Brookings Hospital. Orders can also be placed through the Swiftel Center website at www.swiftelcenter.com/toughenough. Adult sizes XS through XL are $12.00 ($14.00 for 2XL or 3XL). For those wanting youth sizing, adult XS is the equivalent of youth L.

GROUP SALES
Group sales and company orders can be sent to Molly Nagelhout at the Swiftel Center by telephone 605-692-7539 or via email mnagelhout@swiftelcenter.com. Orders can also be placed through the Swiftel Center website at www.swiftelcenter.com/toughenough.

THINK PINK CHALLENGE
This October, the Swiftel Center is once again challenging the Brookings community to think pink. Businesses are asked to designate one day a week as “Think Pink” day on which employees can wear the Tough Enough to Wear Pink t-shirts.

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS
Funds raised by the 2019 Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign will be used locally to promote local cancer screening benefits, such as regular mammograms. Funds will also help provide information about the importance of breast self-examination and promote resources that are available for patients at Avera Medical Group Brookings and Brookings Health System.

More than $58,100 has been raised to-date through the annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign. The Swiftel Center works with Brookings Health System Foundation to effectively distribute funds. Thanks to community support, the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign has assisted many cancer patients in Brookings County with 100% of proceeds staying local.
