South Dakota's longest running community celebration, Old Settlers Day was started in the 1890's to recognize the first residents of De Smet and Kingsbury County.
Today the celebration includes a noon parade, 5K "Wilder Run", 10K, and kids fun run, Shine & Show car display, children's activities. Dance, sponsored by De Smet Fire Dept., at the De Smet Event Center.
Pancake feed and church service on Sunday morning.
