Most recognized for its fishing and water recreation opportunities. It consists of 106 electric campsites, 6 tent campsites and 4 tent camping cabins.
Amenities include boat ramp, disc golf, archery range, swimming beach, playground, and hiking trails.
It's also home to the Lake Poinsett Visitor Center and Museum which showcases artifacts from the area. The exhibit takes you through the lakes history from prehistoric days to the late 1990s.
