South Dakota’s longest running annual community celebration, Old Settlers Day was started in the 1890s to recognize the first residents of De Smet and Kingsbury County. Today the celebration includes a parade, Shine & Show contest, children's activities, free swimming pool entrance, street dance and a pancake feed on Sunday morning. Parade 12pm, children's activities, car show, vendors, food, and music to follow.
