Miner County is an agricultural area with five incorporated municipalities:  Howard, Carthage, Canova, Roswell, and Vilas.  The county has a good selection of retail and service businesses and great recreational opportunities.  The area offers excellent deer, waterfowl, and game bird hunting and has Lakes Thompson and Carthage for fishing and water recreation.
