McCrory Gardens and State Arboretum
Located at 6th St and 22nd Ave.
McCrory Gardens harbors a wide variety of flowers, trees, shrubs and grasses. The gardens comprise about 20 acres of floral botanical gardens and 45 acres of arboretum (a place for the scientific study and public exhibition of many species of trees and shrubs).
South Dakota State University's McCrory Gardens are open from dawn to dusk; all visitors are welcome and we charge no fees. Look, sniff and touch as much as you wish, but please do not pick the flowers, dig the plants, or take cuttings from any plants. Your fingers may itch to trim off spent flowers, but please restrain yourself. You will find small discreet tags identifying most of the plants.
