"In The Heart of Lake Country"

Located in Day County of South Dakota, this is an outdoorsman's paradise. Fishing, hunting, boating, sightseeing and a variety of winter sports are what make Webster one of the best sporting locations in the upper Midwest.
Both the Mississippi and Central flyways overlap and bring waterfowl by the millions through the region. Snow geese migrate to the north in the spring and head south in the fall. Mallards, pintail, gadwall, widgeon, teal, giant Canada Geese, swans and many other species of waterfowl make up the flights and give hunting excitement to the novice as well as the die hard.
Waubay Lakes, Enemy Swim, Pickeral Lake, Minnewasta and many new lakes such as Antelope, Horseshoe, Kettle & Cattail make this a walleye, northern and perch hotspot. Summer and winter fishing is available to the angler, no matter what age or experience.
History played a part in the settlement of the Webster area and you can relive that era through festivals, such as at Fort Sisseton, or through touring the Webster Museum of Science and Natural History.
Plan to attend the annual Pumpkin Fest when Webster paints the town orange. Held the second weekend of October, it is a day packed with activities for the whole family. There are giant pumpkins, contest of all kinds, the Cruisin' Classics Car Show, and the Autumn Parade of Lights. In addition, you will find good food, entertainment, and hayrides, making this an event you won't want to miss.
The Glacial Lakes snowmobile trail is groomed by the Day County Trailblazers Snowmobile Club and offers some of the best scenery in eastern South Dakota.
Webster truly is an outdoorsman's paradise.
